Boat Show Highlights: VIP Preview Day

It was cloudy with a chance of BOAT SHOW in Annapolis on Thursday, October 6, but that didn't stop thousands of visitors from showing up to visit the show on VIP day. The line stretched from the Harbor Master's office all the way down to the end of the street.

Inside the Show, we fell in love with monohulls and multihulls both. We planned charter vacations to exotic destinations and signed up for courses with J/World. We played around with new America's Cup winches and brushed shoulders with industry experts on the docks. The rain threatened in the morning, but by about noon the sun made an appearance and made it stick. Here's what you want to see when you come to the Show.

Sunsail has a new fleet of Leopards coming in 2017, and these are definitely not your typical charter boats. On this 45, a nice little lounge area in front of the salon takes the place of the huge trampoline you're used to having. Brilliant design that we can't wait to test out.

The new Beneteaus are ready to be checked out, as well. These look sporty and clean, two things we love.

Jeanneau always has at least one show stopper. This year, it's this gorgeous 58.

Don't forget you can get to the Boat Show by boat, too!

Our SpinSheet Boat Show Bingo is a hit with the kids! Bring them down to get a card and then have them check off sights as they walk the show with you. After you call Bingo, we have prizes and treats in our treasure chest for them.

The word on the water taxi is that more than one deposit had already been placed down in Brokerage Cove. Get down there early and check out the boats. Afterward, don't forget that Annapolis is a great place to go out for dinner. And everything is in closer than you think...
