Limbo for the Loony

Dancing at Trellis Bay

How I wish I could beam myself to Trellis Bay tomorrow for the monthly Full Moon Party I attended last month. Located on Beef Island, connected to Tortola, BVI, by a bridge, Trellis Bay is a tiny artisan community and a memorable place. The monthly Full Moon Party, attended by the crews of 100+ charter boats in the Bay and locals, consists of local yummy food on the beach, live Caribbean music and dancing, mocko jumbies or stilt dancers, live artist demonstrations, the lighting of the famous fireball sculptures, and more festivities.

Not content to just hang out and listen to music, our new friends Jenny and Claire decided to liven up the party and start a limbo. This video above gives a good idea of how festive and funny the party was.

I'll post another teaser or two before the full story comes out on Friday in the December issue of SpinSheet, but in the meantime, for your island fix, check out Tony Ireland's story Hurry Up and Relax! A Caribbean Adventure.
