Volvo Ocean Race CEO Knut Frostad announced the 2014-15 route for the VOR and already people are a little uppity. After going through a bit of a brouhaha with Baltimore, Newport won the U.S.'s only stopover. But how about Cape Town? Why not an Ireland or U.K. stopover?
But I don't want to sound like I'm complaining. Those are some long legs, and the one thing we know about the VOR is that it makes for some very exciting sailing. We'll definitely be watching.
