Let the Cruising Begin!  May is when it really starts for the Magothy River cruisers. The Magothy River SA (MRSA) starts off the month with a Cinco de Mayo celebration in Cattail Creek on the Magothy. For those whose boats aren’t quite ready for cruising, there is plenty of parking at the home of Fred and Sue Betz. Cruising will continue with the annual Memorial Day outing to Granary Creek on the Wye River. MRSA with EYC and CBC will once again enjoy a great weekend of contests and conviviality as we welcome a summer of sailing.  This is a “not-to-be-missed” cruise.

The MRSA racers have already begun the Wednesday night routine with many more ahead.  GIYS/SCC is hosting a Spring Race on Saturday May 18, bringing racers into the Magothy and to Gibson Island for a party.  The next day, Sunday May 19, MRSA sponsors the Spring Classic: 2 Sanctioned Races in the Magothy.  For more information, email [email protected].

The 2013 MRSA Junior Sailing Program will be held at the Grachur Club from July 8 thru July 19 for boys and girls, ages nine thru 16 years of age.  For more information, please go to the MRSA website.
