January 16-24: Mount Gay Round Barbados Race SeriesThree days of coastal racing to Antigua. 81st anniversary. The Barbados Cruising Club, Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc., and Mount Gay Rum.

January 14: Advancements in Maritime Technology in the 1800s - 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Mariners’ Museum and Park, Newport News, VA. Join Lesley Haines as she discusses innovations of the time including those on the USS Monitor, the HMS Warrior, and the FS La Glorie. Free with museum admission. Reserve seats online.

January 14-15: CMM Unplugged! - After the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, CMM invites you to leave your electronics in the car, and reconnect with your family and friends. All activities are free with museum admission. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Calvert Marine Museum, Solomons, MD.
