475 mile race (125 miles down the bay, then 350 ocean miles to Newport). 34 of the 63 boats that entered did not finish due to 30 knot winds and 10' waves in the lower Bay and offshore. Aboard Mike Cummings' 53' Jenneau "Challenge Accepted" with crew of 10. We received a 3rd in class trophy.

Meet FFV skippers at Safe Harbor Bluewater, Hampton, receive and process reguired papers, meet with US CBP officer at Norfolk office and submit all papers for 14 FFVs to obtain Clearance Papers, deliver approved Papers to Captains in Hampton, help in Bluewater pavilion.
As Salty Dawg Captain of Safe Harbor Bluewater "Dawg House", help prepare site for Rally events; confer with US Customs and Border Protection offical re documents and arrangements to obtain Clearance papers for participating Foreign Flagged Vessels (FFVs); and prepare instructions for FFVs.
