Remarkably breezy for August. Sailed about 15 miles.

Beautiful even for the city's 274th Birthday celebrations. Only drawback was "boombox power boats" playing loud and mindless music which could be heard over the fireworks!
Eight knots of northwesterly breeze with thick haze from Canadian wildfires.
A rare reach/reach four lap drag race powered by and easterly 6 to 9 knot breeze. By DISC standards there was some congestion during the first couple of turns. Enjoyed a delightful post-race party.
The threat of rain faded thankfully, and we enjoyed a rare seven mile reach/reach race. Came in second.
After changing both fuel filters this afternoon the weather was perfect for a day sail. Sunny, southerly 7-9 knot breeze. Decided to be lazy and just unfurled the Genoa and ran upriver. Reefed down the Genoa to 90% going upwind on the return trip. Pointed better than expected and sailed along at 3+ knots against a flooding tide.
Need to reinstall the lazy jacks and use both sails next time!
