We have five boats representing the Chesapeake Bay in the 2016 Ft. Lauderdale to Key West Race, presented by Ft. Lauderdale YC and Storm Trysail Club. The first gun for the IRC class went off shortly after 1 p.m. today (Jan. 13).

From Baltimore, David and Peter Askew are onboard the Reichel Pugh 74 Wizard, which is currently leading the pack. Paul Milo's J/122 Orion and Tapio Saavalainen's Kalevala II are also in IRC with Wizard, along with the J/World entry MI82 (a J/88 in PHRF C) and Solstice, Jim Bordeaux's J/40 (also in PHRF C).
