Eagles of Conowingo Dam Video

Every November, the Conowingo dam is flooded with hundreds of eagles who come to prey on the fish released through the turbines. Roughly 40 eagles live in the area of the dam, and that number jumps to roughly 400 during the fall migration south. A short video shot by Mike Lemery back in November shows the eagles in their element, hunting the water and also competing with each other. The eagles are so popular that there is an official Eagles Day, as well as a facebook page set up to follow along online.
