A Three-Minute Maryland Boating Satisfaction Survey

The Marine Trades Association of Maryland announced today the start of a month-long customer satisfaction survey available by clicking below: “We encourage every Maryland boater to take three minutes of their time and help us know how boat dealers, marinas, and those providing boating service and parts are doing,” said executive director Susan Zellers.

It only takes three minutes to complete the boating satisfaction survey.

Boating clubs, organizations, classes, auxiliaries and squadrons are encouraged to share this opportunity and the weblink with their members via their newsletter, social media post, and word of mouth.  “With nearly 179,000 registered boats in Maryland, we know there’s a lot of good feedback out there that can help those in the marine industry serve their customers even better,” said Ms. Zellers. “But we need individuals to take the short survey to get that input.”

“Customer service is a critical part of the long-term sustainability of the marine industry, as well as a key ingredient in young workers’ training,”  continued Zellers. MTAM is in the third year of a workforce development project known as the Marine Trades Industry Partnership (MTIP), a collaboration with EARN Maryland (Employment Advancement Right Now), marine employers, and educators. The MTIP is connecting high school graduates with marine employers to create career marine professionals, from mechanics to yard workers and fiberglass experts.  Visit Marylandboatjobs.com for more info.

Results from the August boater customer service survey will be presented by Margaret Podlich, former president of BoatUS, at the annual MTAM Fall Conference, scheduled for Thursday, September 14 beginning at 1 p.m. at the Port Annapolis Marina Pavilion. The daytime meeting is open to the public with advance registration, details to follow at mtam.org.
