For the Harbor 20 Fleet, the Spring social event on Gilligan's Isle, aka Pat and Howard Brooks', was a huge success. Over 40 people attended by land or sea. All characters from the popular TV show were represented except the Professor. Not sure why he wasn't there. Costume awards were given to Garth Hichens, the only Thurston Howell III in attendance (truly a one of a kind); Anne Lamoureux as Ginger Grant and Cathie Trogdon as Lovey Howell.
Seven boats participated with help from the tow boat powered by Skipper Mark Kiefaber and Lovie Howell (Ginny Kiefaber). The cool temps didn't dampen the high spirits of the group. Light winds made the journey from the yacht club and back close to the advertised three hour tour length. The specialty coconut cocktail concocted by Skipper Brian was enjoyed by all. Ginger Anne, Gilligan Heather, and Skippers Walt and Brian were a big part of the success of the day. Thanks to them for organizing the food and decor in keeping with the Tropical island theme.
