Big wind in a test run of the RHiB Yamaha.  Engine ran well however it took a lot of throttle adjustment to keep from accelerating and launching off of waves.

A fun powerboat day to strawberry banks.  Strawberry banks us on the east side of Hampton Creek.  It was the site of the Roseland Mansion.  We found a lot of sea glass in the beach.  No pottery chards but we will look again.

A great day sailing.  We laid the boat over 90+ degrees during a spinnaker takedown between races. On a shirt course do not be ocs

From SBRNYCU

On Saturday, HAMPTON SPRINTS became a COVID-modified event of multiple, short one-lap races. Five (5) boats took to the race course mid-day Saturday, on the front edge of the remnants of Hurricane/Tropical Storm Laura. The competitors split into 2 fleets, Spinnaker and Non-Spinnaker, and raced for an hour and one-half before the building winds drove them off the course. RESULTS: Spinnaker Group (3 boats): 1.RoundaboutAlan Bomar (2-1-2-2); 2.MyrageChristian Schaumloffel (1-2-4/ocs-1); 3.CallinectesBen Cuker (3-3-1-3). Non-Spin Group (2 boats):1.SeekerAlan Johnson (1-1-1); 2.Luna BluKeith Midgette (2-2-2). High-5! to Roundabout, the only boat to fly a chute in any race! Race Officer: John Blais.
