Perfect day for a sail. Mid-70s, winds 7 - 10. Spinnaker reach from Norfolk Inner Harbor down Elizabeth River into Hampton Rds to Naval Base and close reach home - 14 miles - arrive after dark. Sadly, only one container ship (Yang Ming) at the massive Norfolk International Terminals and the Virginia International Gateway Terminals, most likely due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
Leave US Sailing Center Miami (Coral Gables) 0330, arrive HYC 2100.
Eight races over 3 days; 47 boats; heavy air first 6 races - 18 to 27 knots; last 2 races winds in mid to upper teens.
Beautiful weather. Spectacular racing.
Depart HYC 7 PM Tues., arrive Miami 10 AM Wed.
Unstep mast on Etchells "Hat Trick" and prepare boat & trailer for travel to regatta in Miami.

with Skipper David Pryor, Greg Lanese & Frank Lira. Crystal clear, upper 40s, winds E 5-10. Beautiful day.
Took the spinnaker, which had not been used in several years, out of storage, found all necessary lines were present and they and the kite were in very good condition. Rigged spin. Frank drove while I flew the spin.- no other sails were used. Weather: 74 deg. (!); wind 6-10; mostly sunny.
Another nice winter day - upper 40s; wind 6 - 10 partly cloudy. Only sailboat on H.Rds.
