The warm sun and clear water made for a spectacular paddle from the Little Magothy to the channel marker outside of Deep Creek.

It was hard getting out of bed the day after election day. For several reasons. Thankfully my friend Keith pestered me to get outside and enjoy the new dawn daylight and get out on the bay. The water clarity was off the charts. We could see ~5 feet down, with huge sea nettles at the bottom staying warm. It's sad this is unusual, but maybe someday this will be the norm. #spinsheet100 #savethebay

I really wanted to sail. The boat was on the bottom at low tide, so I had to wait 2 hours for enough water to get out. Kinda. I put the spring line on the winch and pulled myself out. Yeah, I missed the good wind but I did get reasonable sail and an amazing sail.

Keith and I took a late afternoon sail up the Magothy. The wind died as we turned around and we drifted @ 2knots heard the weather alert for a strong front moving across the region. We started motoring back but at Stonington we were doing 6.5 knots under power, and 6 knots w/the enine idling under full main DDW in flat seas.

Managed to find the 1 hour of sunshine and light winds and got a quick paddle on the Little Magothy. I was actually over dressed, which bodes well for some late fall paddles as the weather gets colder.

Shaking off the work week with a quick sail around Balitmore Light and back home before the (almost) full moon rise. Nice 12-15knots made for a quick sail with full main and 2xreef genoa.

Pretty warm (for October) and calm morning on the Little Magothy. Lots of ducks and geese. The wind did pick up a little bit on the way back to the dock.

Pre-work SUP on the Little Magothy. It's cool and damp but the water is still warm.

Worked the mark boat (RIB) for the SSA Fleet showdown. Light westerlies but man, 73 degrees this late in October? Crazy. Plus, a sprinkling of old schooners sailing around the day before their parade day.
