Skippered Benneteau 40 in Hospice Cup on September 13.
Motored from Broad Creek to Deep Creek on September 1, had nice sails on the Bay on September 12 and September 22. Went to St Michaels on September 26 and returned to Deep Creek via Kent Narrows on September 28. Had a nice sail from Deep Creek to Queenstown Creek on October 5, and then sailed for 11 hours in the Bay, ending up in Granary Creek on October 6, and sailed back to Deep Creek on October 7. Had a nice sail to the Rhode River's White Marsh Creek on October 18, and a nice downwind sail home on October 19. Filled up the boat with diesel on November 22 and motored to Gibson Island on November 24 to have the boat winterized and hauled for the winter.
Volunteered as skipper and coach for the CRAB Cup on August 16 and the Special Olympics on September 6 and 7 on CRAB's Benneteau 22s.
Sailed Pleiades in light wind for 5 hours on August 3, again in light wind on August 4 for nearly 5 hours, for 4 hours in light wind on August 10, and for 3.5 hours with nice wind arriving home after dark. Had a nice 3 hour sail to Osprey Point Marina on August 23, and sailed back home and in the Bay for 6 hours on August 24. Sailed to Langford Creek Cacaway Island in 7 hours on August 30 and to Broad Creek in 6 hours on August 31.
In addition to the beer can races already recorded, I raced on a CS 34 on August 22 and August 29 and was on a race committee boat on July 25.
Sailed on my sister's 20 foot sailboat on July 23 and July 24.
Volunteered and taught campers sailing and racing on Benneteau 22 on July 16, July 17, August 6 and August 7.
Conducted Captain screening sails on July 15, August 8, and August 15 for the organization now named Sails of Hope Chesapeake (SHC), Conducted respite sails for SHC on July 20, August 17, September 14 and September 15,
