Century Club: Jason Fox
I spent at least 10 days doing boat-stuff that didn't involve getting underway this year. Here's a sample:
We own a boat... a pretty nice boat. S/V Fine Tuned. And sometimes it's nice to just spend the night aboard her at the dock (perhaps after having 1 or 2 or 10 drinks at the pool bar...) at Herrington Harbor North in Tracys Landing. But there's also Spring Commissining, Winterization, and fixing that *&^$ when I had to &*$% in order to get that *&^%$%ing thing to work again. Or maybe I was installing the *&^$%$ new piece of electronics, which involved a lot of boat yoga... 12/25 was the day I did the last bit of winterization for the year.
Here's some other stuff I/we did this year:
5 days volunteering for the winter maintenance on Schooner Sultana (mostly malinspike work and re-canvasing hatches)
2 days helping out at the Schooner Sultana's Downrigging festival (helping with dock lines, crowd stuff)
1 non-underway day on Schooner Ernestina-Morrissey giving deck tours.
This was an accidental duplicate entry.
Raced aboard Schooner Windsong in subject race... sailing bucket list item!
10/31
Anchored in Shaw Bay for "Wye River Band Concert", then headed to St. Michaels for lunch.
Race(ish) up and Cruise Back
Included one day in a kayak!
