  • Raymarine Wireless Dual Gauge Solar
  • Raymarine Wireless Wind Gauge Solar
  • Raymarine Wireless Wind Transducer Solar

Went from warm and sunny to cool breezy and rain all in about 4 hours. Paired new wireless wind transducer with wireless gauges and recruited my 3 amigos Chris, Eric and Andrew to do the muscle work of hoisting Chris to the top of a fractional rig to drill holes for the  Raymarine T120 wind transducer mount and mount the previous little gem. Everything went exactly as planned. Thanks guys!

The new Raymarine Axiom 9 Plus's were not indicating supply voltage so figured out how to make that happen. Also had very sliw response times during race day before so made some setup adjustment s that will hopefully help.

Since adding new electronics have been concerned about battery consumption. The Supply Voltage reading wasn't what I would've expected when plugged to shore power. After investigation and READING THE OWNERS MANUAL,  it was apparent that battery 1 wasn't connected to charger battery 1, how it knows which is starting is beyond me. Also noticed some corrosion on connections which I cleaned up. Purchased and brought to boat the last of the winch maintenance supplies. A good day on the boat.

Beautiful spring day in the southern Chesapeake Bay to go sailing. Temperature was in the low 70's and winds 8-12k. S/V HORNET (J30) was u/w at 0930 from Rebel Marina with an eager crew of 8. First race the start was challenging with a line the lenght of 5 boats and 10:starting. Current was against us. DFL. Second race the skipper, me, struggled with the start sequence. Never seem to get those sound signals right. Hanks to Evan, Frank, John, Missy, Dawn, JJ and Eric for a great time!

Busy day on the water. Racing starts this week!!

Last coat of Cetol Natural Teak on the toe rails. Looks good. Applies nicely and no sanding.

Was struggling getting waypoints from Navionics app to Raymarine Axiom +. Finally figured out, no instructions, that the app puts the wapoints on the Navionics chip and then YOU migrate/import from chip to plotter. Very cryptic.

Called friends Chris and Frank to help with removing the Furler and installing the tuff luff. Remove all cotter ins from standing rigging, slacken all standing rigging, tie off Spinnaker and jib halyards as temporary head stay, remove screws holding drum to bow stem, sludevup drum to access turnbuckle, loosen turnbuckle, remove cotter pin and clevis pin from stem, slide off furler one piece at a time.

Slide on top spacer for tuff luff, then tuff luff, then bottom spacer, and attach prefeeder. Voila!
