Another hot and humid August Day. I went out on Mattox Creek around 3:00 PM for my 75th outing of the season. Pretty much no wind for the first 30 minutes, just floated and baked in the hot sun. Then, wtihout notice, the wind picked up nicely and it turned out to be yet another great day on the water.

Pretty strong wind from the east on Mattox Creek today so I didn't venture out very far. Pretty much stayed between day marker 4 and 7. Around the bend at Fox Point the wind was minimal. I'm certainly get more confident going out in stronger winds.
The morning looked perhaps a bit too windy coupled with a low tide so I decided to wait until after lunch to go out. Sailed up Mattox Creek about a mile or so then the wind became pretty much non - exisitant with the temperatures in the 90's. Sailed back non the less and the wind was better just off the Potomac.
Another near perfect day sailing on the Potomac. Went east for a change. I’m definitely getting more confidence in my sailing ability.
Perfect day for an 11+ mile sail on the Potomac. Nice steady wind got me out and then the wind really picked up but I was able to get back home without incident.
Went out on Mattox Creek for about 1 1/4 hours. Learned I could use my Under Armour bike app to track speed. Averaged 2.8 mph.
Spent about 2 hours sailing around Mattox Creek.
The last time I sailed was on July 8th when I cracked the hull of my sailboat and just got the boat back yesterday. Not much wind today but it was just so nice to be out on the water.
The cracked hull on my sailboat has been fixed and I motored it to our pier from Stepp's Marina.
The scenery was breathtaking kayaking on a lake in Cluster Gallatin National Forest. Unfortunately I’m not able to upload some spectacular pictures.
