Extended the Memorial Day weekend to Tuesday and sailed to Stepp’s Marina in the morning before heading back home for a short, 3 day workweek.

Perfect day for sailing with a steady wind from the north so I decided to cross the Potomac to Cobb Island. About a 4 hour roundtrip sail.
Too windy for sailing so just paddled around Mattox Creek. Checked out my neighbors boat that he is hoping to do the Great American Loop in.
Another day that was too windy to sail so I did a little paddling instead.
I took my son in law for a morning sail to a friend’s house on Mattox Creek. First time I docked at a dock other than mine.
Morning sail around Mattox Creek to Stepps Marina before the wind picked up too much. Here’s a picture of a neighbor’s front yard. As you can see from the fallen tree we have had more than our fair share of very windy days.
Way too windy to go out sailing this morning but I was able to go out for a quick paddle in my kayak.
I was able to get a Sunday morning sail in before the wind got too gusty.
I went for a quick Saturday morning sail before my friend came over to help me install my new jib. Went again in the afternoon with the new jib.
It has been incredibly windy the past week. My neighbor texted me a picture of my boat on the lift with the jib sock flapping in the breeze along with the sail. Not in a million years would I have thought that wind could unzip the sail cover, but it did. The jib had seen better days and I had already purchased a replacement hence no big deal. Fortunately, the jib sock was not damaged. Went out for a quick sail with the ripped jib before the sun went down.
