NPSC 44' Luders yawl; First Mate role; sailed with Dan, Mike S; Eddie, Mike B, Lori and Hunter; jib and jigger on the Patuxent in robust winds 15 knots gusting to 20; then a stop at SMSA for Happy Hour and back to NAS Patuxent; great evening on the water!
Sailed on a NPSC 44' Luders yawl, Arctic Tern team; Spinnaker Class entry; helmsman role; rainy with temps in the low 60's with light winds around 5-7 knots; good course and conditions to fly the light spinnaker!
Raced on a NPSC 44' Luders Yale; helmsman role; not Frostbite weather! Temps in 70's with winds varying around 10 knots; the crew enjoyed an after race social at SMSA in Solomons
Paddled from Oyster Bay community kayak launch to Calvert Marine Museum, then down past Zahneiser's to Solomons Island and back home. Water temperatures still in the upper 50's but a beautiful Spring day!
Wednesday evening racing training on NPSC 44' Luders yawl; helmsman role; the team practiced tacking upwind to SMSA mark, then running downwind wing on wing using the pole and jibing the pole; when winds subsided a bit late in the day, practiced flying the spinnaker; 14.16 miles
Crewed a NPSC 44' Luders yawl for an Easter Day sail out of the Patuxent River and across the bay to the Eastern Shore with Bud, Erik, Clint and Mary; beautiful day with temps in the low 70's; winds started out mild at about 6 knots building to 10-15 knots for much of the sail; 22.65 miles
Helmsman on NPSC Club entry 44" Luders yawl for Spring Frostbite Series Race #3; winds about 15 knots with a microburst 1/4 mile from the race finish and winds increasing to about 25 knots; overall a great race and a very adventurous day on the water!

Crewed NPSC 44' Luders yawl; sailed up the Patuxent River to Vera's on St. Leonard Creek with Bud, Bob, Mike, Clint and Dave; Dave's farewell lunch sail; 18.86 miles w/ winds varying about 8-12 knots
