Friday: Arrival in Miami to the sweet sweet welcome of Josh, Em, and Charlie. Dinghy ride out to SV Frea.
Saturday: Dinghy adventures and shore dives. Dania Arojax: Hike down the beach to a beautiful dive w/ max depth 18'. Blue Heron Bridge w/ <3ft visibility. Abandoned the dive and enjoyed lunch with the crew.
Sunday: Motored SV Frea out to Neptune Memorial to go on a dive with the greatest surprise. I found a small treasure chest and opened it to find a ring. Jeremy was on one knee and my answer was an emphatic underwater knod!
Monday: Left the new jewelry at home to drive to key largo and climb aboard the MV Rainbow Destiny. Dove 90+ ft wreck, USS Spiegel Grove, followed by Benwood Wreck. First time on nitrox! Saw huge goliath grouper, turtles, baracua, black and white tip sharks, bull shark, nurse shark! What an amazing day of diving.
Tuesday: Packed up and took the dinghy ashore to adventure around Miami and overcaffeinate on cuban coffee.
A trip for the history books.

Tootled out off of DSC for a little late night anchoring practice before Bender takes off for his first week long Chesapeake Cruise with a bunch of crew with ZERO experience. What could go wrong!
To be fair, I took off for a 21 day cruise with 2 weeks experinece sooooo you have to learn somehow! I will have my phone on loud the whole week waiting for a rescue call :)

Spent Friday at work dreaming of sailing... then biked home in the wond and decided to take her out. Amazing upwind sail with 9-14kts. Anchored out at white rocks and got in just in time for a delicous mahi sandwitch at Mike's.
Brian drove up early Saturday for a fun beam reach back most of the way to the city.

Wednesday friendsday crew is on vacation so took the opportunity to hop aboard one of my favorite boats: Nonsuch 30 Quickbeam. Always forget how fun it is to sail what is essentially a massive wind surfer. One tack to the bridge and one tack all the way into the inner harbor.

Random crew and better than expected wind made for an awesome night with all 3 sails up.
