I started knowing that I likely wouldn't make a full 100 days. Wanted to see how many I could manage. KInd of fell off logging days back in August, so I'll add the rest now. 2 days aboard the Wilma Lee running tours. Sad to see the season end, but ready to get back on her next year. 4 work days on my own boat to add. Had plenty more than that, but we can only log 10. My Catalina 22 is cleaning up nicely, and is now sitting under a tarp waiting for warmer weather and more money . Standing rigging is the big expense that needs to be handled over the winter. Should help me increase my days next year.

Finally got the trailer hitch and light connection on the Cherokee, so we broke out early to get the yaks back on the water. Not many people, lots of birds, bugs, and turtles. Friend had taken some pictures of an Osprey a few miles up the road. They've nested at Black Hills in the past, but haven't been seen for years. Checked the nesting tower but it was empty. Had been on the water for a few hours when we heard that call. Two of them flying over the lake. Hoping to go back and check the area that it looked like they came out of.

Scheduling had a hole, and my wife was stuck in a training all day so I spent my birthday crewing on the Wilma Lee. Pretty good wind for the first sail, not so much for the second.

Charter and a sunset cruise on the Wilma Lee. Watching the weather all day hoping that it would hold off and it did. Got some decent wind for both cruises the farther out of Annapolis harbor we got. Caught a cruise ship coming under the Bay Bridge in the distance.

Sailing the 3rd and 4th. Couple of Heritage tours, couple of charters. Storms on Monday manage to miss us, giving us a good color and light show and wreaking havoc on the eastern shore.

Signed up for the return voyage crew to bring the KN back from Yorktown. Long drive Saturday to do an evening sail, then set out on the return Saturday. Was supposed to be an offshore voyage but the weather gods didn't like us so we blasted up the Chesapeake. Set out and set sail, then sailed through the night. Spent the 4am bow watch approaching Calvert Cliffs on a gorgeous night. Got back on Tuesday evening and then spent one last night in the boat.

Took me 34 years, but I finally got ky own boat. '76 Catalina 22. Hauled her home and started an inventory of what I have and a list of what I need. Won't make it on the water for Sailstice, but will get her on the Bay as soon as I can.
