The saddest day for me always is the day I put my own boat on the hard for the winter. But, I had a great boat ride doing it! Still hoping for more time on the water through the kindness of others...
  • Looking wistfully out at the Bay, wishing I didn't have to put the boat away....
  • Always a stop at the ligthouse at the beginning and end of each season... Sadly, that's a wrap for my own boat for this year.

A drizzling gray morning ride turned into something nicer as the rain stopped and the sun broke through! Even got a small rainbow at the end of the boat ride!
  • As I headed out, it was clear the sun wanted to break through....
  • Rain....
  • Coast Guard early morning drills in the rain....
  • Slowly the weather was trying to clear...
  • Yup - early ride before wind was supposed to kick up.....
  • Finally a clear patch of blue sky, over the lighthouse no less....
  • This cloud formation looks like a flying eagle to me....
  • A rainbow!
  • Glassy water after the rain cleared. Hours later, it was gusting 28 knots.... Such is our Bay weather!

A lovely day today to cruise around the Annapolis Anchorage on my power boat, and also to catch up on the water with James Ronayne, home from Cornell for T'giving break!

Thanks to David Sites, a fun joint adventure on the South River, with super breezy conditions + us finding hidey holes at times to avoid the South River white caps...! Lots of beautiful sights/boathouses to see in Broad Creek and on the "rivah!"

A great day as I helped decorate the Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse for Xmas, at the same time marking the anniversray of her lighting in 1875 and the 1st day of her 150th year in service! I went back out at sunset to admire our handiwork!

Frostbite races were canceled due to no wind, meaning it was a power boat day, so out I went. Lovely day on the water! Grateful for every day I can get on the water!

Given a small craft advisory warning for today (which didn't materialize - sigh), I popped out earlier in the day for a boat ride. I checked out ALGOMA VICTORY (here in the anchorage often) - this ship reminds me of a lego product due to her colors!
