2023 Day trips, Racing, Race Committee, cruising, Messing around in boats, mine/friends/ club boats and cruise liners.
2023 was the year that I spent a ton more time on the water than previous years. From small day sailors to various powerboats and cruise liners including one Atlantic crossing. We paerticipated in Racing and race committee work at SSA, AYC and EYC. Once I realized in late summer that I was closing in on the Centry Club, I did a rough count and then started a serious log to document the expience on the Spin Sheet Web site.
We own a Boston Whaler 17 whichn is moored at South Annapolis Yachting Center. This is our base water platform As a member of SSA and AYC we serve on their RC's as well as helping out at EYC. We race as a crew on Harbor 20's and assist with the AYC Team Race program. This year my wife Bonnie Urban and I also took three long cruises on Viking which put us on the water from many more days than normal.
