Checked on our keelboat fleet for SCOW.org. got some bad news regarding winter sailing on the Potomac. Pivot to the bay. Helped a couple of friends with their bay checkouts. Finally got to frostbite in season appropriate sleet, testing that hypothesis regarding" no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing choices" to endcap the month, went out with some friends to debut our red white and blue spinnaker, after some clutch patching by Debbie H. Thanks for the picture Shawn R. Getting warmer....

Second year in a row sailing on Julianne's Bennu. Had a blast with following near Gale winds down the bay. Finished first in the invitational class.
Joined Julianne on Bennu to spend the weekend in Oxford. Great day sailing with friends.
Sailed on Mantis (tri). Had a blast flying down the bay and into Cambridge. Won the multihull race. Had some fun messing with the crew of Zuul both on the water and on land. Had more fun testing spinnakers on the delivery back. Saw a flying dinghy.
First series as racing skipper for the Sailing Club of Washington. Sailed Rebecca in the Daingerfield Island Sailing Club Tuesday night racing on the Potomac. Great fun teaching new members about keelboat racing. 5 consecutive Tuesdays in August and September. Plus a practice day before the series.
XO for Summer Block One. Took 7 midshipmen to Bristol by way of Block Island on a Navy 44. Came back by way of NYC.
Chartered a boat to finally visit this beautiful playground. Really liked the shoulder season. I probably would not like it during peak season.
