1st sail of the year!

Headed out of boot key harbor in Marathon Florida for a nice morning sail at 9:45. Winds were blowing 10-12 knots from the East with small waves.  We headed south with both sails out full and were a wee bit overpowered, so we brought the Genoa in a few turns to balance the ship. Waves and wind built as we headed south towards Cuba (didnt get there) till we were seeing 15 knots sustained with gusts over that and 3-5 foot waves at 4 seconds or so.  Went about 10 miles out before turning and heading back. A great first sail of the season!
