With a "new-to-us" boat there has been a long list of items that need to addressed.  Currently at 75 days of maintenance (only 10 count), areas that have been tackled include the following:

  • Bilge pump replacement (install new foundation for the pump, physically install and wire the new pump, fabricate and install spacers needed for bilge pump switch holder.
  • Reinstalled A/C pump as it had to be moved to accommodate the new bilge pump.
  • Sand and clean saildrive and hull around rudder bearing.  Tape and mask to apply 2 coats of AF to the saildrive and around the rudder bearing
  • Fabricated and then installed boom mounted lazy jacks
  • Moved lower engine hatch strut mounts to accommodate 2 inch longer struts and install the new struts. Tied fuel lines back to avoid interference with the closed hatch strut.
  • Ground out keel root crack (superficial) and spent numerous days grinding then doing fairing prep prior to boat bottom being repainted.
  • Installed software updates for the Zeus plotters, NAC-3, HV 20/20 displays
  • Installed new nitrogen struts in the port aft cockpit locker
  • Created templates for the fore and aft shape of the head fresh water tank that I'm manufacturing.  Tank to be installed under the floor in front of the head sink.
  • V-Berth: moved the upper attach point of the lid pressure strut aft two holes to reduce the adverse load at the lid hinge.
  • And the list goes on and on.......
