Columbus, Mississippi has a great marina off of the beaten path. They have two mostly-working courtesy cars available for transient boaters.  In all honesty, these courtesy cars were not too bad; we have found most marina courtesy cars are in not so good shape. However, you have to keep in mind that beggars can't be choosers, right? When you need to get to the grocery store, you need to get to the grocery store. While we were docked there, we made a quick trip to Annapolis to get our last remaining items from Annapolis Landing Marina where we have spent the past couple of years. We absolutely adore everyone there, and have missed them tremendously. They gave us a nice sendoff party, with the admonition that it is only so long for now and not goodbye forever. I have certainly made some lifelong friends there.

We retured to Columbus and made our way south on October 14 towards Demopolis, Alabama, on the Black WarriorRiver/ Tenn-Tom waterway.  We found a beautiful Anchorage that night and made it to Demopolis on the 15th. We stayed until Sunday morning, October 17, and made our way to the lock with a couple of other boaters. The weather was absolutely spectacular all day and we made good time toward Mobile. We anchored In some really great places for the next few nights and arrived in Mobile on October 20.
