I noticed two promising sailing days on the calendar for Thursday and Friday, 10 - 15 knots from the East, blue skies and 75 degF. With no urgent business scheduled for those days, Sailing Steve and I took his boat "Blithe Spirit" out for an overnight trip. As usual, we had no fixed destination but found ourselves more inclined to head South than North. I had spent a few nights in West River already this season so we opted for the Wye. We had a great close reach down the Bay and an equally nice reach up Eastern Bay. There were only a few boats in the River but one had taken a favorite cove so we anchored in Dividing Creek.
It was a beautiful quiet night followed by a pleasant trip home with easy reaches the whole way.
