What a great event. Wind was a bummer, but could have been (a little) worse. The heat was a lot though. Had an amazing time learning the rigging on barebones. LOVE the inhaul set up so much. Met lots of new people both on the boat and at the party.
Managed 3 short course races with no serious errors or screwups. I was pretty sure we had done amazingly well, but since our rating was so low compared to others in our class there was a chance that we hadn't finished far enough ahead of everyone else to actually win the races. Anyway, am now a huge fan of Sunfasts apparently. I could use a little cushioning on the bunks for longer races though...
high 80s (at least, and very very humid) wind 2-6 SE, 6ish hours.
