Sara, Josh, and me were RC for this event. It was originally scheduled for the 14th (Flag Day) however, the River was supposed to be closed for the Army Day Parade. We rescheduled but parade day planners finally opted to close the River north the area we normally race in. Too late however, to get another event permit!
it was a hot but I erected a tarp over the cockpit and we avoided sunburn unlike the competitors. There was a stronger breeze than predicted and we completed three races. For the final race the wind averaged a respectable six knots.
