Finally we were able to move our boat from St. Michaels to Hartge's in the West River in Galesville.  I was very nervous getting the new boat that I have never sailed and knew virtually nothing about off the dock because there were very expensive boats about.  We got off the dock no problem.  We motored through a canoe race, a schooner race, and past the most inconsiderate large yachts ever.  Several of the yachts were going way too fast on their way into St. Michaels and put us in serious jeopardy.  I have never experienced this in the past.  We took unnecessary waves over the bow and put the two people I had on the boat and myself at risk. I was happy when we got out to the Chesapeake.  We put the sails up and noticed some unattached cars and other problems.  Wind was very light and not from a favorable direction, and given our lengthy trip, we opted to only keep the sails out for about an hour and start her up again.  We had a champagne toast aboard but I only took a sip! I docked her like a rock star at Hartge's!
