What a crazy weather week, huh? From Annapolis to Pensacola, the wind, rain and high water levels have caused a whole lot of consternation for boaters and landlubbers alike.  Hopefully all of you are OK. We are OK here as well. We stayed tied up in Pensacola all week for work projects. There was a window of opportunity once we were finished with work to leave for Destin on Friday, but Mother Nature had other plans for us. The waves just south of Pensacola in the Gulf of Mexico were forecasted to be 13 feet at times, and in the Pensacola Bay they were 3 to 5 feet, which is way too much for my old bones. The winds were sustaining at 20 kn and gusting to 30 and 35.  Yes, dear reader, we are fair weather boaters and are not ashamed to admit it.

At least we were able to get some boat projects accomplished this week, along with provisioning and a few long walks. We departed Pensacola for Destin this morning, and had some absolutely spectacular views and a nice smooth cruise. Tomorrow, the plan is to go outside into the Gulf of Mexico and cruise about 50 miles to Panama City, Florida. Looks like the weather will be in our favor. I hope you enjoy the photos!
