Coastal flood warnings had me pumped! Finally an attempt to ride the high water into two different far reaches of the creek, but I only got to one and in doing so I hassled a mating pair of Canadas and felt bad about that so I turned around and went back out into broader waters.
The tide was high, but not even close to the highest we've seen in the past year or two. Still it was weird to paddle over the snags and downed cedars I usally don't even bother getting close to.
Saw a bald eagle up pretty close until he got fed up with me and flew off. Not bad for a 65 degree day in early March.
