Rhine River expereince

My last post was reviewing eight days driving a 50' canal boat in the south of France. Our total trip was over three weeks. Once you pay the airfare to get to Europe you might as well stay a while to amortize the cost.

So we booked passage on a riverboat traveling from Basel, Switzerland to Amsterdam. Along the way we rode bikes into the countryside and took smaller barges and other watercraft to visit windmills and explore the many, many canals in Amsterdam.
