My brother Hugh, Eric Purdon, Charlie Ford and Bruce Burke joined me for a sail up the Severn River. We had a nice Southerly making for a quick trip. We alternated between wing and wing and a broad port tack reach. Wind speed 15-20 knots and 6-7 knots boat speed. Sunny, high in the 60s. Off of Valentine Creek we furled our sails and explored both Valentine and Plum Creek. We them motored up to Indian Landing. On our return trip the wind was on the nose and building so we motored the rest of the way home. Top recorded wind speed of around 30 knots. Great memories of my youth on the Severn.
