Took #1 (tiller extension about to fall off) and did an excellent quick stop in front of dominoes and then let James practice all the way out to the turning basin and back. High 80s, overcast, very puffy with weird sudden oscillating gusts at twice the steady wind rate. We reefed in the basin because it seems to be picking up significantly, but ended up just being extra gusts out in that area. Wind was SSE 5-13 as per the buoy at ft mchenry. Heard thunder as we headed back around UA, and then more as we docked. Less than 2 hours.
