Duking it out with Diablo
Out on Red Baron for the SMSA Vice Commodore's Cup. We sailed with 5 onboard in decidedly puffy conditions. This year was formatted as a pursuit race, and we had an easy start. Puffy conditions prevailed, but we decided to stick it out with the #1 up to maximize power potential on the reaching legs. We fought with Diablo for the whole race, weaving in and out of the lead. Ultimately they got us on the last leg, but it felt good to make them sweat a little. Fantastic conditions for a truly excellent day out on the water.
