I got an ice cream chipwich today at the marina store.  Mmm mmm good! 2nd day in a row of beautiful weather, sailing, and ice cream.  Talk about joie de vivre!

Winds 06015G19.  Practiced figure-eights, crew overboard, and docking with skipper candidate Dave.  He's ready to checkout as a SCOW skipper as long as he get his knots down pat.

Sailed with Talya.  She's great crew, very capable.  The less that I have to worry about the boat, the better, and I don't have to worry about the boat with top-notch crew like Talya around.

With experienced crew, I can explore and expand the boundaries a bit.  We sailed back by the wet slip docks today.  NO ONE does that, but i just wanted to do it to see if we could.  We went half way down the channel, and then decided to turn back because the wind was so light.  It'd be cool to test out how far back one can sail back there.

I actually got to sail the boat again today, and I absolutely loved it!  I shook out the reef and headed out into the river to where the DISC races were taking place.  Those boats were booking.

The river was flooded with debris again, but less so than yesterday.  Current was still strong with the river in a flooded state.

We were done by 8:15 pm.  By then those river pixies start swarming the marina.  Going to plan to have the boat back by 8 pm to avoid those little bastards.
