Wet & Wild Wednesday

Out on Red Baron for our usual Wednesday night race. With 5 on the boat we set up expectig a light air day, and the breeze kicked up right before the start as a cold front moved in. We sailed out of the wind line, but it ultimately hit the fleet and sent us on a wild ride towards the first mark. We kept the big jib up as we were off the breeze, and we worked hard to keep the boat on her feet as we saw puffs as high as 23kts. The course continued in mostly offwind legs, and we power reached around the course. We remained fairly competitive and ultimately pulled off a third place finish. A wildly different race from what we were expecting, but a very fun ride anyway!
