Day on the water? Sort of, I guess. More like a hour or two waiting on the water. We all showed up with an unrealistic level of optimism that there would be a window to get a race done. But the weather gods said forgeddaboutit. I did get a chance to get a better look at the build/layup of this "new" boat. I forget the details but this one was a special build for the Columbia 30/32 designer. So most (if not all) of the interior is lighter weight composite...including some custom CF fabriaction. Overall the boat is longer, stiffer and lighter than the previous Columbia 30/32.
And BCYA made the right call...on the way home, I had to pull over and wait for the rain to let up such that I could actually see out the windshield.
