Dave Cooper, at the helm of Mojo
On May 14 at the Tred Avon Yacht Club, Oxford, MD. a total of 23 boats from the Annapolis and Philadelphia Corinthians fleets gathered to mark the start of the 2013 Chesapeake Spring Cruise. From Oxford the fleet sailed to Solomons, MD, to Point Lookout Marina, on Jutland Creek, then to Mill Creek off of the Great Wicomico, to Indian Creek, Kilmarnock, Va and the Chesapeake Boat Basin.
All crews participated in a bowling event at the River Lanes Bowling Center in Kilmarnock. The Chesapeake Boat Basin manager and the staff for the town of Kilmarnock were really terrific. They certainly went all out to make our visit memorable. From Indian Creek the boats sailed to Rappahannock River and stopped in Urbanna, Virginia for the final wrap up event. Thanks are due to Cruise Chairman Neil Ross for organizing an interesting and challenging schedule which extended over a two week period.
