There will be 2 classes…cruising and racing and awards will be given to the top 3 in each category for the 4 races. The awards will be given out at the AYS Open House on September 21st.

Congratulations to Joe Zebleckes, Commodore of CB2 and captain of Anneliese, a Beneteau 40, on his win of the USCG Foundation Cup overnight race on April 26th & 27th. Joe and crew held their class lead from about ½ hour into the race, rounded the mark at about 6:00PM and finished at 3:50 AM. There were some small challenges with the weather, at about 8:00 PM on the return leg, thunderstorms with lightning and wind gusts over 30 knots added to the excitement. The winds stayed at 15-20 knots for the remainder of the race.
