Founded in 1915, the Potomac River Sail and Power Squadron is one of the oldest within the organization. The club is located in Washington, DC, and offers their community low cost educational boating courses. They focus on water and boating saftey. In addition, they hold monthly meetings for members that include water and land activities and educational speakers. The club provides the public with free vessel saftey checks, ensuring that their vessels are up to United States Coast Guard saftey regualtions.
