Seaya Later finished in first place for the series.
Seaya Later Finished First in series (nonspin B)
Seaya Later Finished in First for the series (Nonspin B)
High winds made it difficult to deal with race Committee flags.
Finished series tied for first in Non-Spin.
Raced PHRF N. Had difficult time making mark near bay bridge due to currents and low wind.
We finished in 2nd for the series.
Took my son's apartment mate from UVA out for the first time sailing.
Raced PHRF N in pursuit race. Came in 3rd. Of all non-spin boats racing in pursuit race I believe we finished 4th.
We raced in 6 races for the series and finished in first for the series getting the gun on 5 races and finishing in first in 4 races!
We raced in the Non-Spin B fleet and got the gun on all 7 races we started coming in fist for the series.
Helped Crew on "High Note", for one of my regular crew. This was the first race that Alyson captained on her cruising boat. It was a lot of fun! Great company and crew on board High Note!
Served as Race Committe for Priates Cove penultimate Wednesday Night Race for the 2022 Season. Winds were forecast to build but they pretty much decreased so course was set too long, but most bboats did finish. Everyone finishing in the dark.
We raced in PHRF N - AB as they split the non-spin boats into two fleets. We came in first, the second time we have done that in the Hospice Cup. Race start was delayed by an hour, with light winds at the start but then the winds gradually increased. It was a really nice day on the water and a great Charity Event!
Seaya Later Finished First in Non-Spin!
Seaya Later Tied for First in Non Spin B for the series with My Luv!
Served as race Committee for the penultimate race of the season and frostbite series. It was cold but we were bundled up and had fun. Sorry to not be out on the water racing though.
Got to the start ready to race in PHRF N but no wind. Waited it out till the race was called. Then motored back to Galesville. So a ot of motoring bu no sailing. Still a nice day!
Strong currents and short starting line with crowded starting area made for a difficult start. It took us 3 attempts to get over the starting line. So to say the least we did not do as well as we would have liked but still had fun!
PCRC split the non spin boats back into two groups but changed the break point so we are now in the non spin B group. We are not happy with the decision as we need to give as much as 90 seconds a mile to some of the boats, so can't even see them and they may still beat us. We hope they change the split back to what it used to be. The good news though is we did finish in second place for their series!
We finished 3rd in PHRF N and were 4th over the finish line over all boats participating in the pursuit race.
Non-spin combined all into one class so had as many as 16 boats racing which made for some pretty crowded mark roundings some nights.
We finished 3rd in the series in non-spin A
Gale force winds called for the cancelation of races.
Continued to race with small crew of 4 to 5,under COVID protocols with masks for frostbite series. Unfortunately too many low wind days.
We got a late start to the event as our motor went as we motored from Galesville to the start but still completed the race and did not finish in last place.
We came in 2nd in PHRF non-spin!
Nice race to the west river from Herrington Harbor.!
Continued to race under COVID protocols with crew in masks.
Decided to race with masks, kept social distancing in boat for full series. Raced in 7 races in series.
