NASS Race to Cambridge

J105 Break Away team of Richard Hinds helm, Dale jib trim and Nav plus some helm.  I did jib and spin trim, Mike C Main and Pit, Maike D spin trim, Ben bow.
Storm came through at end gusting to 30. We had boats (2) pass us at last turning mark into river and I was overruled re Spin launch. Only one other 105 put theirs up. We were knocked down and immediately had to take it down. Just before finish we ran hard aground at full spend and Mike dove down companionway injuring his neck and head smacked on floorboards - bleeding from his forehead. I assessed him / long story short we called 911 and he went to hospital from dock and was back to have dinner at party. He really dodged a bullet. All ok. Navy sailor went up in Bosun's chair to retrieve shredded chute in high winds before finish. We all stayed at nice Air BnB Victorian home I had arranged. Nice cruise back on Sunday through the narrows.
