Century Club: Susan StGeorge
Start time 3:15 pm and ended up abandoning the race at around 10 pm due to 40 mph gusts and no reef in the main. Our life line on the port side broke making it too dangerous to continue. Arrived back in Solomon's at 3 am.
Started out at 6:45 and arrived in Galesville at 2 pm. Passed a 122 ft boat which capsized the prior week. It was hot and not too much wind.
Put in at Clark's Landing when a storm was threatening. It turned out to be a very nice paddle with light rain.
saw a bald eagle, great blue heron fishing and a snowy egret.
Fran and I paddled to our regular spot but there wasn't as much glass as usual. Saw a bald eagle.
Even though we were dead last we enjoyed the day and learned a lot.
KX2 was a short race because storms were moving in. Got the spin up on both legs of the race.
Paddled with St Mary's paddlers in perfect summer conditions.
Retired early after losing the use of the motor and one job sheet. Sailed into the slip very nicely.
