22 mile trip from Crab Alley to Annapolis - South River.
Sunday night was an exercise in racing in light winds. Monday night started out with strong wind/gusts and died after 1st race.
Completed ASA 103 at Annapolis Sailign School this weekend. Kudos to instructor Tom Thompson for great and patient guidance. Hot and varaible winds but mostly good conditions on Valkyrie, a Beneteau Oceanis 37.
Distance race to R2 using compass because of overcast and foggy afternoon. Tide should have been flowing but mid-bay there was a strong southerly tide that impacted turns around R2. Lesson in Chesapeake tides.
