Nice afternoon sail picking up plastic and watching dolphins with my fiancee.
Century Club: Moby Richard
Another new member orientation. Saw the fast cat heading into little creek.
It started out as a nice medium air wind. We missed the start a bit but not bad. Heading to the windward mark we got a huge windshift to the west and it picked up from 12 to over 20kts. Had a good rounding and good downwind leg. Fun race!
After a 2hr weather delay the race got started. Crewing for Aspire. 15-20kt E winds chopped up the bay and made for a fun race. Reefed and hitting 7kts. I think we did pretty good. Fun boat!
Fun little extra training session. Anchoring and docking.
It started to look like a repeat of two weeks ago so the race was cancelled. Good call.
Well, no martinis but that is my favorite Tiki Thom song! We did see lots of dolphins though. Got in before the westher.
Finishing a training before the hurricane hits!
It was a very light air day but that is the challenge. We found enough to get a little over 2 knots. I love these first sails and meeting people new to the sport. The person I was sailing with today had read and studied so he knew a lot of the vocabulary. I detect a future life long sailor!
