Out for a nice sunny sail and, lo and behold, a mermaid swam up to my boat! Turned out to be Heidi out for a swim. Beautiful day on the bay!

Sitting on the boat and the sun comes out. Great! Go sailing! Get out there and thick dark clouds, NE wind 15kt with good chop. A bit chilly so it was a short sail. Get back to the dock and the sun comes back out. Still fun seeing the dolphins.
I miss being in the keys and using my dinghy as my car. Fun to get it out and play.
New member orientation. It is always fun to meet members and introduce them to boating and give them a start on the skills they will use.
Sometimes sailing is not about sailing but about getting away from land and just talking about things. Today was one of those days. Good wind and sailing and got in just before the rain hit.
I did a new member orientation training. Always fun meeting new people and welcoming them to the club.
Fixed the big 2.5hp outboard for the dinghy. The fuel on-off switch was messed up. I had a nice ride up and down Little Creek.
Short afternoon sail in 18-22kt winds. Before going out I dove and cleaned the running gear and starboard side of the boat. Much improved speed and no vibration. No hard growth but a lot of fluffy stuff.
Decided to inflate the dinghy and go for a row since it was too choppy on the bay. Used it to scrub the bottom of the boat. Got to tear down the carb on the outboard because it is gummed up.
